Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday laid the foundation stone of four new medical colleges in Rajasthan. Apart from this, he inaugurated the Institute of Pharmaceutical Techniques (IPT) at Sitapura, Jaipur. These four medical institutes are located in Banswara, Sirohi, Hanumangarh, and Dausa districts. While addressing the people through video conferencing on this occasion, the PM said, 'We are working on a new national health plan to bring about a change in the health sector of the country. From Swachh Bharat Mission to Ayushman Bharat and then to Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, all these are part of it.

The Prime Minister said, 'This corona pandemic has given a lesson to the health sector across the world. Every country is fighting this pandemic in its own way. In this hour of crisis, India has taken major changes in the health sector and has taken steps to become self-reliant. "Health is a state subject. As the Chief Minister of Gujarat, I saw these difficulties in the health sector. As CM, I used to experience the shortcomings of the health sector of the country. For the last six to seven years, efforts are being made to remove the shortcomings of the health sector.

High-level medical education is the priority of his government

The PM said that the health system of the country in our country was divided into many pieces. This was a huge problem. There was a lack of unity at the medical level of different states. Earlier, there were questions on the decisions of MCI. There were allegations against him. This had a bad effect on the health sector and the education of medicine. The PM said that high-level medical education is the priority of his government. These new institutions will help in fulfilling the aspirations of the youth.
