These numbers written in the thyroid report are to find out the level of the thyroid. From these numbers coming in the test, it is known how well your thyroid gland is working.

T0, T1, T2– If these numbers appear in your report then these are the byproducts of hormone precursors and thyroid hormones. They do not act on the thyroid hormone receptor and remain completely inactive.

T3 test– T3 test is a test of triiodothyronine level in the thyroid. Usually, when there is a suspicion of hypothyroidism after T4 and TSH, then doctors ask to get this test done. Even if you have symptoms of an overactive thyroid gland in someone, the doctor gets the T3 test done. The normal range of T3 is 100-200 ng/dL. If it is more than this, then it indicates a disease called Graves.

T4– Thyroid T3 and T4 hormones remain correct in the body of a healthy person. If it goes up or down, it's a problem. Both these levels are controlled by the TSH hormone in the body. Which is called thyroid-stimulating hormone. Mostly T4 and TSH are done together. The T4 test is called the thyroxine test. A high level of T4 indicates an overactive thyroid gland.

TSH test

Through this test, thyroid-stimulating hormones are checked in the blood. With this, the thyroid gland is detected. Is the thyroid gland underactive or overactive? Both these conditions are dangerous for the body. The normal range of TSH is between 0.4 -4.0 mIU/L. If the TSH level is more than 2.0, then there is a risk of developing underactive thyroid i.e. hypothyroidism. Whereas a low level of TSH is a sign of an overactive thyroid.
