20 child prisoners escaped from the Place of Safety located at Babhandih, adjacent to the Aurangabad district headquarters of Bihar. The child prisoners started a ruckus complaining about not getting food. In this case, the investigation is being done by registering an FIR in the Mufassil police station.
According to the information, on Friday, the child prisoners started a ruckus complaining about not getting food. Policemen and officials tried to convince them but the child prisoners did not agree. Several chairs were broken and several devices including electricity meters were damaged. On refusal, the child prisoners also pelted stones at the security personnel. While creating a ruckus, 30 child prisoners escaped from here. Later, ten child prisoners were found, but the whereabouts of the rest are still not known.
On receiving information about this, DM Saurabh Jorwal, SP Kantesh Mishra, DDC Anshul Kumar, SDO Vijayant, and other police officials reached here. In-charge Superintendent Vikramaditya Pal was also questioned. Also, In-charge said that some senior child prisoners have created a ruckus by provoking other people. The prisoners have also been vandalized.
In this regard, Mufassil SHO Rajesh Kumar said that about 30 child prisoners had escaped, out of which 9 people were recovered after some time. A child prisoner returned on his own. 20 child prisoners are still absconding which is being traced.
Assistant Director Santosh Chaudhary said that action is being taken in this matter. The circumstances under which the ruckus took place are being ascertained. The child prisoners who are absconding will be recovered and action will be taken against the guilty.
On the question of deployment of security forces, he said that 15 policemen are deployed at the gate. Senior officials have been apprised of the whole matter.
