Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 37 people in Chhattisgarh in the last 24 hours till Thursday evening and with this, the number of people suffering from this deadly virus in the state reached to 2456. State Health Department officials said on Thursday that coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 37 people during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 33 people were confirmed to be infected on Thursday and 4 on Wednesday night.
He said that among those confirmed coronavirus infected on Thursday, 9 were from Raipur district, 4-4 from Rajnandgaon and Raigad, 3-3 from Balrampur, Surajpur, Jashpur and Gariaband, 2 from Jagdalpur, one from Dantewada and Bemetara. At the same time, coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 4 people from Sukma district and one person each from Bijapur and Janjgir-Champa last night. Officials said those who have been confirmed to have coronavirus infected include 2 policemen from Sukma district and a Central Reserve Police Force in Bijapur.
Officials in Sukma and Bijapur districts said that these CRPF policemen had arrived here after being discharged from other states and were kept at the Quarantine Center and are admitted to the hospital after coronavirus infection was confirmed in them. In the Naxal-affected Sukma and Bijapur districts, the Central Reserve Police Force personnel are deployed in a campaign against the Naxalites. Health department officials said that 128 people were discharged from various hospitals in the state on Thursday after treatment.
Officials said that in Chhattisgarh state so far, a total of 142090 potential individuals of coronavirus have been identified and samples have been tested. So far 2456 patients have confirmed coronavirus infected in the state while a total of 1729 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovering. Currently 715 patients are undergoing treatment and so far a total of 12 people infected with the virus have died.
