According to media reports, the interrogation of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in the money laundering case continued till late Monday night. He reached the Enforcement Directorate office at Ballard Estate in South Mumbai along with his lawyer at 11.40 am on Monday. It has been informed in the media report that ED officials questioned him for about 13 hours. In which he did not give a satisfactory answer to a single question. In such a situation, he was arrested and will now be presented in court.

Deshmukh had to resign from his post in April 2021

ED's Joint Director Satyavrat Kumar was seen entering the agency's office at 9 pm along with some other officials. Earlier, Deshmukh had not appeared before the ED despite being issued five summons. But he appeared before the agency after the Bombay High Court refused to quash the summons last week.
