Himachal Pradesh: CM Jairam made Big Announcements on New Pay Commission for Employees

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur made major announcements in the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) meeting held at Peterhof Shimla today. He has announced to give benefits of the new pay scale to the employees on the lines of the sixth pay scale of the Punjab government in the state. With this, the CM announced to reduce the tenure of the contract. Now instead of 3 years in the state, contract workers will be confirmed in two years. Contract employees will get this benefit from September 30.

The CM said that the new pay scale would be payable to the employees from January 1, 2016. The revised pay scale of January 2022 will be given in February. By getting the sixth pay scale, the clerk with the lowest basic pay will get a benefit of three to three and a half thousand. Doctors, senior officers, and also HAS officers will get a benefit of about 15 to 20 thousand rupees. Pensioners will also get benefits ranging from Rs 1000 to 10 thousand.

The budget for the share of employees will increase from 42 to 50 percent

After the implementation of the pay scale, the share of employees in the annual budget of the state will increase from 42 to 50 percent. This will result in an additional expenditure of Rs 6000 crore to the government. CM Jai Ram Thakur has announced New Pension Scheme for NPS employees to give family pensions till May 5, 2009, from May 15, 2003. More than 2800 crore budget will be spent on this.

  • New pay scales will be given from January 1, 2016, which will be payable from February of the year 2022. 6 thousand additional expenditures to the pensioners of the state.
  • The government reduced the period of regularization of contract employees from three to two years. Announcement to extend the contract tenure to two years. So reduced one year to regularize daily wage earners. A 10 crore budget will be released for payment of medical bills.
  • The government will consider for the Superintendent Grade-I, pensioners will also get due benefits and there will be an additional expenditure of 6 thousand crores of the government.
  • A committee will be formed to consider other demands of the employees and other issues will also be considered seriously by the government. and will give benefit on the suggestion of committee constituted for the compassionate job. Will give compassionate job till a day before retirement. A committee has already been constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to resolve the job issues on compassionate grounds. So Its report will go to the next cabinet.
  • Will amend R&P rule to regularize Steno-typist in 10 to seven years.
  • Will consider giving benefits to tribal employees. and also consider giving tribal allowances to daily wagers in tribal areas.
