On the one hand, while the threat is increasing in the country and the world regarding the new variant of Corona, Omicron, experts believe that this Omicron variant can become a new problem in the new year. During a conversation, the head of Medanta Hospital, Dr. Naresh Trehan, has expressed apprehension about this. Let us inform you that about 17-20 cases of Omicron variant have already been reported in the country. The capital Delhi is no longer untouched by it. This is the reason why the central government is also very serious about this and is taking all kinds of precautionary steps.

Negligence can become dangerous

Dr. Naresh Trehan has appreciated the steps taken by the government for its precaution. He has also advised people to get their vaccination done as soon as possible. He says that even after people who have been vaccinated, are in the grip of this variant, they are not showing serious symptoms. But for those who have not received a single dose of the vaccine, it can become dangerous. Therefore, do not be careless in any way and avoid living in crowded places.

According to Dr. Trehan, the first case of the Omicron variant has come to light in November, but it is possible that it has started in September or October only.

Government considering booster dose

Booster Dose

Dr. Trehan also says that we have experienced and seen the havoc of Delta. People are removing the masks, the result of which was seen. So now don't repeat that again.

Wearing a mask is very important. According to him, the government is also considering a booster dose as a precaution. There is a dire need to save the medical staff who are frontline workers from this menace.

This variant can be fatal

Dr. Naresh Trehan has told in this conversation that those who have low immunity or those who are already suffering from other diseases are most at risk. It is wrong to say that mild cases are coming and its danger is less. Because the scope of its infection is much more than the delta. Apart from this, those who have not received a single dose of the vaccine can also come under its purview. This variant can also be fatal. So don't be careless.
