On September 9 at his residence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently met Indian para-athletes. During the meeting, the players shared their experiences with PM Modi. Indian athletes have made history by performing well at the Tokyo Paralympics concluded this month. The Indian Para Athletes had won 19 medals at the Maha Kumbh Games, of which five were gold medals. Many players became emotional while communicating with the Prime Minister. The athletes said that to date no one has given such respect.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted about his meeting with Indian para-athletes on September 11 and said, "Tomorrow on September 12, I will have a conversation with the champions who made the entire nation proud in Tokyo." The PM further said that tomorrow, September 12 at 11 am, definitely watch the interesting conversation with the para-athletes.

Several para-athletes got very emotional during their meeting with the Prime Minister. Boosting their morale, PM Modi said that you people have worked very hard. During this, the players said that you have taken our game to the people in five days, no Prime Minister of the country has done this to date. At the same time, the athletes who missed the medal in the Paralympics made a promise to the Prime Minister that the next time he meets AAP, the medal will also be with him. The PM said that stubbornness has its own importance, this time do not let it become a burden, which was lacking.

Workshop for disabled players

Talking about the disabled athletes, the Prime Minister said, it is more difficult to coach para sportspersons, as they are different from the common players in terms of physical ability as well as mental. The workshop should be organized for such players.
