Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the PSA Oxygen Plants built in the states and union territories of the country to the nation on Thursday (October 7). This information has been given by tweeting on behalf of the Prime Minister's Office. Also, it states that these oxygen plants have been set up in all 35 states and Union Territories with the PM CARES Fund.
The PMO has said that PSA oxygen plants are functioning in all districts of all 35 states and union territories. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a program organized at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Rishikesh) in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand at 11 am on 7 October and dedicate all the PSA oxygen plants to the nation from here.
The PMO has told that the Prime Minister will also address a function on this occasion. The Governor of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister, and Union Health Minister will also be present on this occasion.
According to the PMO, 1224 oxygen plants have been funded across the country by the PM CARES Fund. Also, oxygen production has started in 1100 of these plants. In these plants, 1750 metric tonnes of oxygen is being prepared every day. In the era of coronavirus infection, the Government of India took the establishment of oxygen plants as a challenge.
In the information given by the Prime Minister's Office, it has been said that the construction of the oxygen plant was taken as a challenge even in the adverse conditions in the mountainous, island, and other inaccessible areas, and it was also completed.
More than 7000 people were trained during this period to operate these Oxygen Plants set up across the country. The PMO said that all the trained people have been equipped with Internet of Things (IoT) devices to monitor these plants. Also, its functionality and performance on the Internet can be viewed on the web portal.
