PM Narendra Modi will reach Jewar airport on Thursday to lay the foundation stone. With this, Uttar Pradesh will move towards becoming a state with 5 international airports. With the launch of this airport, UP will become the first state in the country to have 5 international airports.
Recently, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Kushinagar International Airport. This will make it easier to connect the districts of Eastern UP with the world. The Yogi Adityanath government of UP has also decided to expedite the work of the international airport in Ayodhya. Till now, only Lucknow and Varanasi airports had got international recognition in the state.
On Tuesday itself, CM Yogi Adityanath will reach Ruhi village of Jewar to take stock of the preparations. A total of 4 helipads and 5 runways will be built at Jewar Airport. This airport will facilitate the air travellers of Delhi-NCR. This will also reduce the pressure at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
With the construction of Jewar Airport being built within a radius of 3 thousand kilometres, Uttar Pradesh will take a quantum leap in terms of infrastructure. In the last few years, infrastructure projects have progressed rapidly in UP, which is called Expressway State.
The country's largest Purvanchal Expressway is also currently in Uttar Pradesh, which was recently inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi. Even before this, the Agra-Lucknow Expressway of UP had this status. Presently Yamuna Expressway, Lucknow Expressway and Purvanchal Expressway are running in UP.
Apart from this, work is going on on Bundelkhand Expressway, Ganga Expressway and Gorakhpur Link Expressway. In this way, there will be a total of 6 expressways in the state in the next few years. Not only this, but a major part of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway also passes through districts like Ghaziabad, Hapur and Meerut of Uttar Pradesh.
Maharashtra, which has gained recognition through the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, currently has only three expressways and from this perspective, UP has gained in terms of expressways over many prosperous states like Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab.
The name of the airport being built in Jewar will be Noida International Airport and its distance from Indira Gandhi Airport will be 72 kilometres. Apart from this, its distance from Noida will be 40 km and it will be the same distance from Dadri. This airport is built on 3,000 acres will be the largest in the country. This will reduce the pressure on the airport of Delhi on one hand. Apart from this, people of many districts of western UP including Agra, Mathura will be facilitated by this.
