The budget session starts today. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the first Budget-1 of the second term of the Modi government. The session will begin after President Ram Nath Kovind's address. After this, the Finance Minister will present the Economic Survey 2019-20 in Parliament.

The President has reached the Parliament House. He will deliver a speech in the Central Hall of Parliament in a short while. President Ramnath Kovind has left Rashtrapati Bhavan. The President's bodyguards are walking with him.

Before the budget session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this is the first budget session of our tenure and this decade. It should be our endeavor to keep this session a strong foundation for the bright future of this decade.

President Ramnath Kovind will deliver a speech in the Central Hall of Parliament at 11 am. While Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will also preside over a meeting of Rajya Sabha leaders at his residence today. The first phase of the session will end on February 11, while the second phase of the session will begin on March 2 and end on April 3.

The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party is scheduled to take place in the Parliament Library at 2 pm. While the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting is expected to be held at 3:30 pm today in the Parliament Library.
