Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi reached BSP supremo Mayawati's residence in Delhi today and expressed her condolences on the death of her mother. During this, some BSP workers were also present there. In fact, Mayawati's mother Ramrati died on Saturday at the age of 92 due to a heart attack.

92-year-old Ramrati died at a hospital

Earlier, in a statement issued, the BSP said that 92-year-old Ramrati died at a hospital. She died in the national capital where she was undergoing treatment. The statement said that the BSP president left for Delhi soon after receiving information about her mother's death. Ramrati's last rites will be performed there on Sunday. Mayawati's father Prabhu Dayal passed away a year ago at the age of 95.

Yogi also expressed grief

On the death of Mayawati's mother, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in a tweet on Saturday, "The demise of Shrimati Ramrati, the revered Mataji of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and National President of BSP, Ms. Mayawati, is extremely sad. May Lord Shri Ram place the departed virtuous soul at his feet and give strength to the bereaved family members to bear this unfathomable loss. SP President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, in a tweet on Saturday, described the death of Mayawati's mother as very sad and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
