Aam Aadmi Party supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal reached Batala to induce cabinet minister Jathedar Seva Singh into the AAP at his residence in the village Sekhwan. On Thursday, Arvind Kejriwal inquired about the well-being of the ailing Jathedar Sewa Singh Sekhwan at his residence.
Jathedar Sewa Singh Sekhwan was the Education Minister of Punjab during the Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP coalition government and also the founder member of Akali Dal Democratic. On this occasion AAP's Punjab President Bhagwant Mann, Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, Raghav Chadha, Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, and Punjab Incharge Jarnail Singh were present.
Earlier in the meeting of leaders of Punjab in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Arvind Kejriwal discussed with the legislators of Punjab about the prosperity of Punjab and the strength of the farmers' movement. All party MLAs including Punjab State President and MP Bhagwant Mann, Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema were present in the three-hour meeting. According to the statement released by the party, in this marathon meeting, where Kejriwal had discussed the 2022 elections while seeking suggestions in detail for the strength of the farmers' movement.
He told all the MLAs that by keeping the party's flag and agenda aside, the farmers' movement should be supported at all levels. He said that today the country's Annadata is compelled to fight for its land and existence, but the central government is not giving up its insistence, which is condemnable.
In the meeting, Arvind Kejriwal advised the legislators of Punjab and the entire leadership to focus on prolonging their positive streak in order to make Punjab free from mafia rule in the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections. Reaching door-to-door and telling people that on the basis of the main policies of development, you can bring out the Punjab and Punjabis facing serious challenges from the crisis and how can make Punjab a prosperous Punjab again.
