After this, the cold will start, so it is believed that the demand for electricity will decrease continuously after the upcoming festivals. In such a situation, the power companies estimate that there will be no power crisis for the next 6 months.

The time from 19 to 30 August was important

The data shows that the power crisis was born in the month of August. On August 19, additional consumption of 1115 lakh units was made, as the monsoon had weakened. This happened due to the sudden increase in the demand for electricity for water and cooling in homes, farms, and industries. Along with this, due to the rain in the coal mine areas, the production of electricity had decreased in the state due to very less supply of coal from there.

3 percent more rainfall than normal

After the re-activation of the monsoon in September, Rajasthan has so far recorded 3 percent more rainfall than normal. Whereas in the month of August, there was less rain by 10 to 12 percent. Lack of rain increases power consumption. Electricity is used less when it rains.

There was less rainfall up to 30 percent

According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon is generally active from June 1 to September 30 across the country. The country received 10 percent more rainfall in June, but 7 percent in July and 24 percent in August. Particularly in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, large areas of Orissa and North-West India and North Indian states. There was rain. There was less rainfall up to 30 percent. Due to this, apart from Rajasthan, there was a shortage of electricity in many other states also.
