China to Face Serious Consequences if it Helps Russia in Ukraine War, Joe Biden warns

Biden was asked the question of whether China can help Russia? In response to this question, the US President said that last week he had "very direct talks" with the Chinese President on the subject.

Biden's statement after the meeting of NATO countries

Biden was answering questions from reporters after a meeting of the G-7 and NATO countries at NATO headquarters in Brussels on Thursday. Biden says he has made "no threats" but has made it clear that China should be prepared to face dire consequences if it helps Russia. Biden said that China should understand that its economic future rests more on Western countries than on Russia. He said he expected China to have no role in the Russo-Ukraine war.

China's soft stance towards Russia

There have been resolutions in the United Nations General Assembly and Security Council to hold Russia responsible for the war, but China's stand has been in support of Russia. Experts believe that China can take advantage of the war situation. It can supply essential goods to Russia and buy its oil and gas.
