Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has written a letter to West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee requesting that to inform the Railway Ministry about the need for a special Indore-Kolkata train for migrant workers residing in Indore, West as Migrants want to return to their original place in Bengal.

In a letter written by Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the migrant workers resident in different areas of West Bengal in Indore want to go back to their hometown.  However, migrant workers in Indore wanted to return to their hometown.  However, he is departing from his private vehicles because of the extremely long distance and no means of transport from Indore to Bengal.

Significantly, earlier in the press conference, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra had said that Mamta Banerjee started a train to evacuate people trapped in Ajmer Dargah, but not from other places, to bring people trapped from other places.  The Government of Bengal is not interested to follow the major Rules for Migrants.

For information, let us tell you that the government has run a labor special train.  Migrant workers stranded in many states are still stranded in many states.  Hundreds of people are waiting to go home.  However, hundreds of migrant workers have left for their states, cities, villages, they do not know whether they will even reach their destination.  Actually, the workers started moving towards their home states after the government announced the lockdown.  Many workers are still measuring the distance to their home state by rickshaw on foot or by bicycle.  It is worth noting that due to the increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the country, the government has extended the lockdown period till May 31.
