Ingredients:

500 grams minced mutton

1 tsp ginger paste

2 pinch Asafoetida (Hing)

6 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons gram flour

1 cup water

4 cloves

1 ½ tsp red chili powder

3 tsp fennel seeds

3 tablespoons curd

3 crushed black cardamom

3 pinch salt

½ tsp garam masala powder

2 bay leaves

Step 1:

To make this delicious mutton recipe, first of all, in a big bowl, mix the spices with minced mutton, red chili powder, ginger powder (¼ tsp), fennel seeds (1 tsp), asafoetida (1 pinch), curd (1 tbsp) Add oil (2 tbsp), black cardamom seeds, gram flour and half the salt. Knead all these ingredients together with your hands until the spices are completely blended and the mixture starts sticking in your hand.

 Step 2:

Divide the mixture into 15 equal portions. Now make dough from the pieces of this mixture on a flat surface and keep it aside.

 Step 3:

Now heat 4 tablespoons oil in a pan on medium heat. Simultaneously, make a paste by mixing red chilli powder and curd together. When the oil gets hot, mix red chilli and curd paste in it and run it fast. When the oil starts separating from it, add water and run it again.

 Step 4:

Now add the remaining ginger paste, fennel powder, garam masala powder, asafetida, cloves, bay leaves, black cardamom seeds and salt in the same pan. Cook until its gravy boils.

 Step 5:

Finally, carefully add the koftas (one by one) to it and cook on high flame until the gravy thickens. Reduce the flame and cook it slowly until the oil separates. When the mutton kofta is fully cooked, serve it hot with butter naan or rice.
