Covid-19 Update: According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, India has reported 10,093 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total active case count to 57,542.

The health ministry data shows that the active caseload constitutes 0.13% of the total cases in the country.

In addition, the latest data indicated that the death toll due to Covid-19 in India has risen to 5,31,114, with 23 new deaths reported in the past 24 hours. This brings the fatality rate to 1.19% in the country.

Over the past 24 hours, India has recorded 6,248 Covid-19 recoveries, bringing the total number of discharges to 4,42,29,459. The current recovery rate in the country is 98.68%.

The latest bulletin indicates that a total of 220.66 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in India so far, with 807 doses given in the last 24 hours under the national vaccination drive.

Signs and symptoms of COVID-19 include:

  • Fever or Chills

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Loss of smell or taste

  • Diarrhea

  • Sore Throat

  • Vomiting
