Day 4 of Anantnag Encounter: Explosions Reported During Ongoing Search for Terrorists

Anantnag Encounter: On Saturday, as the continuing battle in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag entered its fourth day, the region resonated with deafening explosions, and drones were used to determine the militants' whereabouts.

Security personnel remained vigilant, actively looking for further terrorists in the region. The Valley's senior cop told the populace that the terrorists would be dealt with decisively.

Vijay Kumar, Additional Director General of Police (Kashmir), stated that the operation was launched based on genuine intelligence inputs. He also warned retired police and Army officers not to speculate in the media about an ambush.

Anantnag Encounter: Fallen Heroes and Outcry Ensue

Major Ashish Dhonchak, Commanding Officer of the 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Colonel Manpreet Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Humayun Bhat, and a courageous soldier were killed in the terrible encounter on Wednesday. 

They had fought militants in the Kokernag Gadole area, which is located in the southern section of the Kashmir district.

A day later, on Thursday, anti-Pakistan rallies erupted in several parts of Jammu. These protests were in retaliation to terrorists killing four security people. 

The Panun Kashmir and the Eik Sanatam Bharat Dal (ESBD) paid their tributes to those who died and called for large-scale action against the terrorist network in Jammu and Kashmir.

Fourth Day of Anantnag Standoff

The tense standoff in Anantnag entered its fourth day, with loud explosions and the use of drones to detect militant movements.

Security personnel were on high alert, with the region's police commander promising that the terrorists would be apprehended. 

The operation, which was based on reliable intelligence, had regrettably lost the lives of four brave people. Protests against terrorism have also erupted in Jammu, with calls for strong action against the region's terrorist network.
