Government Takes Action Against 8 YouTube Channels Spreading False Information

The government has taken a strong stance against the spread of fake news by identifying and exposing eight YouTube channels.

The government has taken a strong stance against the spread of fake news by identifying and exposing eight YouTube channels.

With a combined subscriber count of nearly 23 million, these channels have been found responsible for disseminating misinformation, including claims about early Lok Sabha polls and false reports about electronic voting machines.

PIB Confirms Channels Spreading Inaccurate Info

Following thorough fact-checking by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the channels in question—Yahan Sach Dekho, Capital TV, KPS News, Sarkari Vlog, Earn Tech India, SPN9 News, Educational Dost, and World Best News—have been confirmed to have been spreading inaccurate information.

Details of 8 YouTube Channels Spreading False Information

1. Notably, the YouTube channel "World Best News," boasting over 1.7 million subscribers and 18 crore views, was discovered to be distorting facts about the Indian Army.

2. Educational Dost, a channel with more than 3.43 million subscribers and 23 crore views, was found to be spreading false details about government schemes.

3. Meanwhile, SPN9 News, with over 4.8 million subscribers and 189 crore views, was involved in propagating fake news concerning the president, prime minister, and central ministers.

4. The channel "Sarkari Vlog," having amassed more than 4.5 million subscribers and over 9.4 crore views, was revealed to have been spreading false news about government initiatives.

5. Similarly, the channel "KPS News," with over one million subscribers and 13 crore views, was found guilty of spreading misinformation about government policies and decisions, including unrealistic claims about the prices of cooking gas cylinders and petrol.

6. Another channel, "Capital TV," which boasts over 3.5 million subscribers and 160 crore views, was also implicated in spreading fake news about the prime minister, government actions, and orders related to West Bengal.

7. Furthermore, the YouTube channel "Yahan Sach Dekho," with more than 3 million subscribers and 100 million views, was exposed for peddling false news about the Election Commission and the Chief Justice of India.

8. Even smaller channels, like "Earn India Tech," with over 31,000 subscribers and 3.6 million views, were found to be spreading fake news related to essential documents like Aadhar cards and PAN cards.
