Gyanvapi Masjid Case: Big Blow to Muslim Side, ASI Survey Approved by Varanasi Court

Gyanvapi Case: The Varanasi court has ruled in favour of the Gyanvapi survey. The ASI survey of the entire campus has been approved by the court, except for the disputed part.

The court has ordered an ASI survey, said advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, who represents the Hindu side in the Gyanvapi Masjid case.

According to Vishnu Shankar Jain, the court has accepted his application and excluded the Vaju tank, which has been sealed.

Doing an ASI survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid complex has been ordered. On August 4th, ASI will present the District Judge with the results of this poll.

What is the actual conflict?

The Hindu side in the Gyanvapi controversy asserts that there is a Jyotirlinga of Adi Vishweshwar that is 100 feet tall beneath it and that arrangements should be made for Lord Vishweshwar to be worshipped on a regular basis.

The Gyanvapi mosque complex is still the subject of debate since the Hindu side has demanded that all of the buildings in the complex be turned over to Hindus and that Muslim admission to Gyanvapi be prohibited.

Along with this, the Hindu side asserts that the mosque's dome should be destroyed.

What are the claims of both sides?

The Hindu side claims that a mosque was built by demolishing the temple and the Gyanvapi complex should be handed over to the Hindus.

The Hindu side says that the Worship Act of 1991 does not apply and it is being said that Shivling is found in Vaju food.

The Muslim side counters that the Hindu side's argument is completely without merit and that the Gyanvapi issue is not worth debating.

Shivling, on the other hand, is claimed to be replaced at Gyanvapi by a fountain, not a 'Shivling'.
