Anju, a 34-year-old Indian mother of two, is set to return to India after receiving approval from the Pakistani government. She had gone to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to marry a man she met on the social media platform Facebook.

Following this, in August, Pakistan extended Anju's visa for one year. She converted to Islam after her marriage to Nasrullah and changed her name to Fatima.

Her Pakistani husband stated that they are awaiting No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Internal Ministry in Islamabad. They have already applied for it. The NOC process is a bit lengthy and takes time to complete.

"She will Definitely Return": Nasrullah

Anju's husband mentioned that as soon as the documents are ready for her departure from the Wagah border checkpoint and re-entry, Anju will travel to India.

After meeting her children in India, she will return to Pakistan. He emphasized that she will certainly come back, as Pakistan is now her home.

What's the Story?

On July 25th, Anju married her 29-year-old friend, Nasrullah. Their home is in the upper Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They became friends on Facebook in 2019.

Anju had previously been married to Arvind, who resides in Rajasthan. They have a 15-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.
