India's First Bullet Train Station Unveiled: Rail Minister Shares Exclusive Video Preview

India's First Bullet Train Station: After a prolonged wait, India's first bullet train station is finally ready and has been unveiled in Sabarmati, Ahmedabad.

Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video of this magnificent railway station on Thursday (December 7) on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

This landmark station is part of the high-speed rail project connecting Ahmedabad and Mumbai, a venture developed with assistance from Japan.

The cutting-edge train is set to reduce the travel time between Ahmedabad and Mumbai to just two hours and seven minutes. The construction of the bullet train project is progressing rapidly, with the Sabarmati Extension in Ahmedabad already transformed into a multi-junction station.

This marks the first time that the government has shared a video related to the bullet train project.

Bullet Train Set to Zoom at 350 Kilometres Per Hour

The Bullet Train is set to operate at a speed of 350 kilometres per hour, making it the fastest among trains in India to date.

Specially designed stations and amenities within the train have been prepared to ensure passengers experience a comfortable and convenient journey.

The train comes equipped with modern facilities, providing passengers with a luxurious travel experience.

Furthermore, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route will be connected by a 508-kilometre double-line track, significantly reducing travel time to just 2.07 hours.

The much-awaited Bullet Train is expected to start operating in India by the year 2026. This ambitious train project was inaugurated in 2017 during a ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The event also saw the participation of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, showcasing the collaborative efforts between the two countries in realizing this project.

The construction of this joint venture is currently underway, with the first phase expected to be operational by 2026, and the entire project is projected to be completed by 2028.
