Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Central Home Minister Amit Shah filed his nomination from Gujarat's Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat on Friday (April 19). During this, Amit Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to become the Prime Minister for the third time.
He said that it is a matter of pride for him that Narendra Modi himself is a voter from the Gandhinagar seat. Many BJP leaders including Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel were present during Amit Shah's nomination.
Addressing the media after filing his nomination, Amit Shah said, 'Today I have filed my nomination from the Gandhinagar seat. It is a matter of pride for me that Lal Krishna Advani and Atal Ji (former Prime Minister and BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee) represented this seat and from where Narendra Modi himself is a voter. I have been a legislator and MP from this seat for 30 years. The people of this area have given me a lot of love.'"
Amit Shah stated, "In this election, the entire country is enthusiastic about making Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time with a majority of over 400 seats. Under PM Narendra Modi's leadership, India has raised its flag high worldwide. The public gave 10 years, which were spent filling the pits of the UPA government, and these next 5 years will be devoted to laying the foundation of a developed India."
He added, "I appeal to the people to vote and ensure the victory of the lotus everywhere with a strong majority, and help us achieve the goal of crossing 400 seats." Voting for the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat is scheduled for May 7.
Meanwhile, Amit Shah will conduct three road shows and address one rally in Gandhinagar. The first road show will take place in the Sanand town of Ahmedabad district, followed by another in the Kalol town of Gandhinagar district.
Subsequently, the third road show will be held in the city of Ahmedabad. After the road shows, Shah will address an election rally in the Vejalpur area of Ahmedabad city.
