Anju, a married Indian woman, has made headlines for allegedly travelling to a distant area in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to see a Facebook buddy.
Gaya Prasad Thomas, Anju's father, claims she is "mentally disturbed and eccentric," but denies any involvement in an affair. He had no idea she was in Pakistan until lately because he hadn't spoken to her in nearly 20 years, after she relocated to Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, following her marriage.
Thomas condemned Anju's behaviour, saying she should have told someone before travelling to Pakistan. He also highlighted Anju's two children, who are currently residing with their father.
Despite his daughter's free-spirited personality, he is confident that she would not indulge in such behaviour or have an affair with a Facebook acquaintance.
Nasrullah, Anju's love interest, confirmed her trip to Pakistan but rejected any marriage preparations between them. He verified that Anju will return to India when her visa expires on August 20.
Nasrullah reported that she lives in a separate room in his home in the village of Kulsho, Upper Dir district, Pakistan, with other female family members.
Anju, who was born in Uttar Pradesh and now lives in Rajasthan's Alwar region, befriended Nasrullah on Facebook in 2019.
