Indian Railways is launching a series of new Vande Bharat trains. On September 15, 10 Vande Bharat trains will be introduced across different states in the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off these trains from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. This will be the first time that ten Vande Bharat trains are being launched simultaneously.

The states receiving these Vande Bharat trains include Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh.
Among the 10 Vande Bharat trains launching on September 15, the highest number will pass through Bihar. Notably, Jharkhand is scheduled for assembly elections in the near future.
Therefore, Prime Minister Modi will visit Jamshedpur on September 15.
Odisha will be getting three new Vande Bharat trains: the Tata-Barhampur, Rourkela-Hawra, and Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express. These three trains are part of the 10 Vande Bharat trains that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off.
To further strengthen the railway infrastructure in Odisha, the central government has allocated ₹10,586 crore in the 2024-25 budget.
The Vande Bharat train is a semi-high-speed train with a maximum speed of 160 km/h. Currently, there are 54 pairs of Vande Bharat trains operating on various routes across the country, covering more than 280 districts in 24 states and union territories.
