Rahul Gandhi's Tweet: Government Hiding India's Reality from Guests at G20 Summit

Since Independence

G20 Summit: The G20 summit has commenced in India, with leaders from countries including the United States, Britain, and China in attendance.

Meetings are underway, but the opposition continues to criticize the government. Specifically, the central government beautified Delhi for this high-profile event, including covering up slum areas.

Rahul Gandhi, in a tweet, targeted the government, stating that the Indian government is hiding our poor people and animals from its guests, emphasizing that there's no need to conceal India's reality from visitors.

No Need to Hide India's Reality from Guests: Rahul Gandhi

On Saturday, the Congress party had accused the government of covering or destroying slums and encircling stray animals in preparation for the G20 Summit.

Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader, asserted that there's no need to hide India's reality from guests.

Congress shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) showing slum areas being covered with green cloths just before the two-day summit.

Furthermore, Congress Secretary General Jairam Ramesh also criticized the Prime Minister regarding this matter. He said that the goal of the G20 is to address major global economies' challenges and cooperate in dealing with global problems.

In addition to a video of slum cover-ups, opposition parties shared videos of cruelty towards stray dogs and animals before the G20 Summit.

The opposition parties argue that before the G20 Summit, the Modi government used curtains to hide its failures because the rulers despise the poor.
