Diplomatic tensions between India and Canada have been constantly rising in recent times and the controversial statements and social media posts by singer Shubhneet Singh have only increased his problems. He is currently facing heavy backlash over his statements.

Moreover, the rapper’s Still Rollin India tour has been cancelled due to his support for the absurd Khalistani cause. The social media post shared by Shubhneet Singh contained a distorted map of India, that did not have Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab as part of India.

Taking to his Instagram page, Shubh posted a statement where he expressed deep disappointment because of the cancellation of his India tour.

In the post, he also mentioned that he had been preparing for the tour for a couple of months and was enthusiastic to perform in India. The rapper also mentioned that, as a young rapper-singer hailing from Punjab, it was my life's dream to put my music on an international dais. But the recent happenings have tumbled my hard work and progress, and I wanted to say a few words to express my dismay and sorrow.

To save his image, singer Shubh also mentioned the sacrifices made by Punjabis, his ancestors, and Gurus for saving the freedom of his country. India is MY country too. I was born here. It is the land of my GURUS and my ANCESTORS, who didn't even blink an eye to make sacrifices for the freedom of this land, for its glory, and for the family. And Punjab is my soul, Punjab is in my blood. Whatever I am today, I am because of being a Punjabi," he mentioned in his Instagram post.

It is worth noting that relations between India and Canada have worsened since Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, accused New Delhi of the murder of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar which was termed absurd by the Indian Government.
