ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that after the verdict in the Gyanvapi case, an alert has been issued in all the sensitive areas.

Patrolling is being done, and peace is being ensured. He said all police commissioners and district police chiefs have been directed to remain vigilant, patrol sensitive areas and keep a close watch on social media to ensure peace.

Also, district police chiefs and police commissioners have also been directed to hold meetings to maintain peace, while companies of PAC and RAF will be on standby in sensitive areas.

He said that core digital teams have been asked to keep a watch on the messages circulating on WhatsApp in sensitive districts.

On the day of the judgment of the Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri case i.e. on Monday, the court said in its decision that the Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri case is worth hearing.

The next hearing in the case is to be held on September 22. The Varanasi district court has rejected the application of the Muslim side in the Gyanvapi case. Overall, the verdict has come in favour of the Hindu side.
