An agreement has been reached between BJP and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (BJP MNS alliance) in the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections to be held in Palghar of Maharashtra Palghar District Council Election. In such a situation, it is believed that some khichdi is cooking between BJP and MNS in the politics of Maharashtra. In Maharashtra, there was a meeting between BJP President Chandrakant Patil and MNS supremo Raj Thackeray on 6 August, which was named as a courtesy meeting. Now the alliance between the two parties in the Palghar election has sparked political speculation.

MNS General Secretary and Spokesperson Vagish Saraswat termed this as an auspicious sign. He says that if any positive party was visible, it was BJP. He says that the MNS supremo heard the views of every leader of the party and then agreed to the alliance in this election. However, the big leaders of Maharashtra BJP have remained silent about the massive alliance with the MNS in Maharashtra.

Kapil Patil says that there is no harm in making a BJP candidate win in Palghar

However, BJP MP and Union Minister of State Kapil Patil says that there is no harm in making a BJP candidate win in Palghar. Since leaving the Shiv Sena, the BJP is trying to defeat it. MNS has a good influence in areas like Mumbai, Thane, Pune and BJP can get benefit from it. But the image of the MNS as a party anti-North Indians remains an obstacle in the way of the alliance.

Analysts say that the people of Maharashtra or Bihar have forgotten the campaign launched by MNS against North Indians. The BJP, which is going for re-election in UP after a few months, also feels this danger. This is the reason why it is weighing its pros and cons by forming an electoral alliance with the MNS at the local level. But if this experiment is successful then the politics of Maharashtra can change. MNS can prove to be a big weapon for BJP to break Shiv Sena's Marathi core voter. However, the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi alliance has not yet clarified its stand regarding the next assembly elections.
