Another scam of China has been caught on Corona. Chinese media kept publishing news for several days quoting a person who is not in reality. However, they later apologized after the lie was exposed.
Several social media posts going viral in China claimed that the WHO has formed an advisory group to find out the origin of the corona. The Swiss biologist Wilson Edwards involved in this has given a statement against the investigation.
According to fake news published in leading Chinese newspapers, Wilson shared a post on Facebook. In this, he described the investigation on the origin of Corona as politically motivated. He said that it is being used against China and he is very nervous about this. WHO has constituted a committee to investigate the origin of the corona, but China is not cooperating in the investigation.
The Swiss Embassy came to the fore after the screenshot of the tweet went viral in Chinese media and denied having any such person in its place. The Embassy said on social media that there is no man by this name in Switzerland. We searched a lot but did not find any registry or article by the name of a person named Wilson Edwards. Share if you have their details. We would like to meet him. However, it is not likely.
Switzerland said in its statement that we are telling the people of China about this fake news. We do not have any biologists by this name. We urge people to remove this story. The news was published by CGTN, People's Daily, and China Daily.
