Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has given a big gift to the Chambal-Gwalior region of Madhya Pradesh by deciding to construct the Chambal Expressway. The 404 km long expressway, constructed at a cost of 8,250 crore, will pass through Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and directly connect Kanpur with Delhi-Mumbai corridor. Apparently, the area of Chambal is considered to be one of the most backward areas of the country. Many tribes reside here. In such a situation, the Transport Minister hopes that with the formation of the Chambal Expressway, there will be a big change in everyone's life.
Giving information about the construction of Chambal Express on his Facebook page, the Union Minister wrote, '' Meeting with Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Jyotiraditya Scindia, senior officials of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. We have decided to construct the Chambal Expressway connecting Kota Rajasthan with Bhind Madhya Pradesh.''
He further wrote that this 404 km long expressway, constructed at a cost of 8250 crores, will pass through Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and will connect Kanpur directly with the Delhi-Mumbai corridor. The biggest benefit of this expressway to be built along the Chambal River under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be for the poor farmers of the three states. Who will be able to sell their produce directly in Delhi-Mumbai market.
Gadkari further wrote, 'Chambal region is considered to be one of the most backward areas of the country. Many tribes like Saharia live in Sheopur, Morena and surrounding areas. This road will prove to be very effective in improving their lives. With the construction of this road, economic activities will intensify in these areas, new opportunities for industry and employment will open.
The Union Minister had announced last month that if the state governments acquire the land for 'Chambal Express Way' in three months, then the center will start work on it by worshiping the land. On both sides of this 'express way', industrial clusters, food clusters and different types of clusters will be created, which will provide employment to millions of people.
Addressing the Madhya Pradesh Jan Samvad Digital Rally organized in Bhopal from Nagpur, Gadkari said, "When the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan became the Chief Minister again, he talked to me about building the Chambal Expressway. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar told me again and again that this can become a path of development in my region.
He said, "Shivraj Chauhan, you complete the land acquisition work. If you have done the work of giving land within three months, then I assure you that we will launch the work of expressway by calling the Prime Minister for its Bhoomi Pujan. I promise you this.'' He further said that once famous for robbery in Chambal area lakhs of youth will get employment. Let us tell you, in the last tenure of Shivraj Singh Chauhan, it was decided to build 'Chambal Express Way'.
