WhatsApp for Android and iOS keep on making changes every day. This time WhatsApp is developing a new app for Mac OS and Windows users. The WABetaInfo portal, which gives information about the app features update, quoted Italian blogger Agiornami Lumia as saying that WhatsApp is developing new apps for Windows users.
It will be an app based on the Universal Windows Platform. This will be for all versions of both operating systems. The app that WhatsApp is developing for Windows and Mac will also include a drawing feature on devices with touch screen displays. The Account, Chat, Notification, Storage and Help section of this app looks like Skype, it will have 6 categories of settings. Apart from this, it is being told that the new version of WhatsApp for Mac OS will be like the iPadOS version which was seen recently.
The beta version of WhatsApp for Android now has an option to hide your last seen status from specific people. The report states that App has been actively working on bringing this feature for a few months and it is now live for a subset of that part of the beta program. The company may soon bring it to everyone who uses the beta. After this, it will be updated for all App users. This feature will not allow WhatsApp users to view the last seen status by everyone. Except their contacts, blacklist of specific people of their contacts, and no one else.
Meanwhile, a report states that WhatsApp is also working on a new community feature that will give admins more power over the group. According to the report, the community feature gives group admins more power over the group.
The new feature is expected to offer admins the ability to invite new users through a community invite link and then send messages to other members. This feature has been seen in the latest beta version 2.21.21.6 of WhatsApp. There is also expected to be a social media-like function within the messaging app itself.
