Although Priyanka Vadra herself has not given any indication about whether to contest or not. According to the sources, election preparations have been started from Priyanka Gandhi's office. Data was collected from Rae Bareli and Amethi. Political experts say that after the defeat of Rahul Gandhi from Amethi in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the dominance of the Gandhi family has decreased there.

At the same time, due to the deteriorating health of Congress Working President Sonia Gandhi, the contact of the Gandhi family with the public in Rae Bareli has also reduced. However, The relationship with the people of the Amethi and Rae Bareli districts could be strengthened with Priyanka's competition. If this happens, Priyanka will be the first member of the Gandhi family to contest the assembly elections. Earlier, all the members of the Gandhi family had contested the Lok Sabha elections.
