Congress Names Arvinder Singh Lovely as Delhi Unit Chief

The Indian National Congress has announced the appointment of Arvinder Singh Lovely as the new President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, replacing Anil Chaudhary.

The Indian National Congress has announced the appointment of Arvinder Singh Lovely as the new President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, replacing Anil Chaudhary. This decision was made by Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge.

The official announcement was shared on the party's Twitter account, stating that Arvinder Singh Lovely has been appointed as the President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.

Who is Arvinder Singh Lovely?

Arvinder Singh Lovely was born on December 11, 1968. He first won the Gandhi Nagar Vidhan Sabha seat in Delhi in the 1998 assembly elections.

Subsequently, he was elected as a legislator in 2003, 2008, and 2013. He has also served as a minister in the government of former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

In 2013, Arvinder Singh Lovely also held the position of President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee.

It's worth noting that Arvinder Singh Lovely began his political career from the college level. He served as the National Secretary of the Youth Wing of the Congress Party, known as the NSUI, from 1992 to 1996.

He has held key portfolios in various Delhi government departments, including Education, Urban Development, and Transport."

Congress is Preparing for Upcoming Lok Sabha Elections

It is noteworthy that the Congress party is gearing up for significant changes ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Recently, the party appointed new state presidents in Uttar Pradesh.

Ajay Rai was appointed as the President of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, and now Arvinder Singh Lovely has been named as the President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee.

The Congress party has been actively engaged in preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

This includes appointing new state leaders and reorganizing the party structure. Meetings are being held with leaders from different states to strategize and plan for the elections.
