PM Modi's Re-entry into Punjab's Political Turmoil Today

Political activity in Punjab is picking up as the date for the Punjab Assembly Election 2022 approaches. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will hold rallies today.

Political activity in Punjab is picking up as the date for the Punjab Assembly Election 2022 approaches. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will hold rallies today. While the Prime Minister will hold a public gathering in Jalandhar, Rahul Gandhi will hold a rally in Hoshiarpur. Arvind Kejriwal the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is on a padyatra in Hoshiarpur at the same time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously addressed a rally in Punjab on January 5. However, due to security concerns, he had to return. Since then this will be his first visit to Punjab. Even though he spoke at a virtual gathering last week. On the 16th and 17th of February, the Prime Minister will speak at election rallies in Punjab. On the 16th and 17th of February, he plans to hold rallies in Pathankot and Abohar.

Security for PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi

The Prime Minister's rally in Jalandhar has been given top priority in terms of security. From Adampur to the PAP ground in Jalandhar, police have been stationed at every turn. Three levels of security have been put in place for the demonstration. It would be deployed alongside Punjab Police, BSF, CRPF, and commando squads first. There are also dog squads, bomb squads, and anti-riot squads on the scene. CCTV trucks will be stationed across the city. Meanwhile, some members of the United Farmers Front have declared their opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As a result, security authorities have increased their alertness.

What will Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi be doing today?

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, will hold a rally in Hoshiarpur on Monday. At 11.30 a.m., a Congress rally will be held at Roshan Ground in the city. Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, and the AAP's national convener will also be in Hoshiarpur on Monday. He intends to walk throughout the city on foot. At 12.30 p.m., Kejriwal will begin his padyatra.
