Rajasthan: Red Alert Issued for Heavy Rain for Next 3 Days in 10 Districts

Good and heavy rain may occur in many places in Rajasthan till July 27. According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is persisting around the southwest region of Rajasthan adjoining Gujarat. Due to this, heavy rain may occur at one or two places of the Udaipur division. Apart from this, the trough of Monsoon is moving towards the Bay of Bengal via Alwar, Karauli. Due to the low-pressure system formed in the Bay of Bengal, there is a possibility of good rains today and tomorrow in Bharatpur, Kota division of the eastern and south-eastern region of the state.

According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, Jaipur, from July 25 to 27, there may be rain from 60 to 205 mm in some areas of Kota, Bharatpur, Udaipur, Jaipur, and Ajmer divisions. However, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for July 25 for many districts of the Udaipur Kota division.

According to the forecast released by the Meteorological Department, on July 24, good rain may occur in Kota, Baran, Jhalawara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, and Sirohi. Apart from this, two three places in which Dungarpur, Banswara, and Jhalawar may receive heavy rainfall ranging from 65 to 205 mm of rain. Apart from this, on July 25, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain up to 205 mm in some districts of the Kota, Udaipur, and Ajmer divisions. Here a red alert has been issued for Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Kota, Baran, Jhalawar, Bhilwara, Bundi, Sirohi, Rajsamand districts. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the districts of Bharatpur, Kota, and Jaipur divisions on 26 July and Bharatpur division on 27 July.

There was good rain in many districts of the state yesterday as well. Rainfall of 50 mm and above was recorded at many places in Jhalawar, Jodhpur, Pali, Ajmer, Banswara, Baran, Bhilwara, Bundi, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Kota, and Sawai Madhopur districts. Due to the heavy rains, water started overflowing in Kalisindh and Chavdi rivers in the Jhalawar district. The effect of the rain was seen in the temperature. In other districts including Bundi, Tonk, Dholpur, Churu, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Sikar, Jaipur, Alwar, Ajmer, and Bhilwara, the maximum day temperature hovered between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius. However, people in these districts are still troubled by the humidity and sticky heat.
