After the death of Kiranpal Singh, father of international cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, his mother Indresh is now in critical condition. She was admitted from Bulandshahr to Meerut at 2 pm on Saturday night. She was having trouble in breathing. Corona infection has been confirmed in Bhubaneswar's mother Indresh. She is undergoing treatment under the supervision of Physician Dr. Pankaj Sharma at Dayawati Covid Hospital in Meerut. She has been given oxygen support due to difficulty in breathing.
Bhuvneshwar's mother's health deteriorated since 3 May. She was confirmed to have a corona infection. First treated at home isolation. The report came negative on May 12, but the health did not improve. The report again came out positive on 21 May. Her chest CT score is 8, indicative of a common infection.
Bhuvneshwar's father Kiranpal died on 20 May. He was struggling with liver disease. Kiranpal, 63, breathed his last at his residence in Meerut. The last rites were held in Luharli, the ancestral village of Bulandshahr. Since then Bhuvi, his mother Indresh Devi, wife Nupur and sister Rekha have been staying in the village. After the father's death, Bhuvi's mother's health started deteriorating.
Bhuvneshwar has played 21 Tests for India so far. During this time he has taken 63 wickets in 37 innings. His average is 26.90. He also holds the record for taking 5 wickets in 4 innings. Bhuvi played his last Test against South Africa in January 2018. He has been injured several times in the last few years. He got injured during the IPL in September last year.
In March this year against England, he returned to international cricket from the limited overs series. However, he was not included in the squad for the World Test Championship final in June and the five-match Test series against England in August.
