IND Vs SA: South Africa Announce Team for India Tour

IND Vs SA: Du Plessis has not played any ODI since the World Cup played in England last year. In place of Du Plessis, in the ODI series against England, the command of the team was given in the hands of De Kock.

IND Vs SA: South Africa Cricket Board has announced a 15-member squad for the three-match ODI series against India from March 12. The most experienced batsman and former captain Faf du Plessis has been recalled to the team for the series against India. Apart from this, Rassie van der Dussen has also returned to the team for the series against India.

Du Plessis has not played an ODI since the World Cup played in England last year. He was recently given rest in a series played against England and Australia. Recently,  Plessis also announced to relinquish the captaincy of the South Africa team in all three formats. The South Africa Cricket Board had already handed over the responsibility of the team to wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock.

The series will be played from March 12. At the same time, Dussen played the series against England but was rested against Australia. South Africa has not given a place in the team to Keshav Maharaj, who became part of the ODI series against Australia. Apart from this, another Tabraiz Shamsi of the team will also not be part of the team on this tour. However, due to injury against Australia, batsman Temba Bavuma, who did not play, has returned to the team.

The first ODI between India and South Africa will be played in Dharamshala. The second ODI will be held in Lucknow on March 15 and the third ODI in Kolkata on March 18.
