India Vs Australia 3rd T20 International: Suryakumar Yadav is just one match away from winning his first series of the T20 International format as the skipper of the men in blue side.
The home side has given an impressive performance in this five-match series of the shortest format. India has won the second T20 International match in Trivandrum yesterday and lead this series by a margin of 2-0.
India will look to keep their impressive run going in the 3rd T20 International match as well. Their top three batters scored half centuries in yesterday’s game and the finisher, Rinku Singh gave his Midas touch to finish the innings on a high for the men in blue side. That’s why, India scored 235 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
The bowlers also bowled well for the home side. Prasidh Krishna who was expensive in the first match at Vizag made a good comeback. Ravi Bishnoi also did a good job with Axar and Arshadeep. Surya’s captaincy stint has gone right in this India Vs Australia T20 International series.
SKY has made those important changes at the right time in pressure situations. Surya had a disappointing ODI World Cup 2023 as a batter. But the number one batter of the T20 International format has had a good series as batsman and skipper of India so far and he would like it to carry on the good work.
Australia was never in the game since they opted to bowl first yesterday. Their bowlers couldn’t stop the Indian batters from scoring more than 200 runs and then their batters gave a disappointing show while they chased a huge score.
Apart from Marcus Stoinis, Tim David and skipper Matthew Wade, who all played a cameo innings no other batsmen from the Aussie nation could put the men in blue side under more pressure. That is why, Australia fell 44 runs short of the target.
Now with the series on line, Wade and his Australian T20 International side will be eyeing to bounceback in this five-match series of the shortest format.
The Aussies will look to include Travis Head on their side instead of Steve Smith, who is not ideally suited for this shortest format.
Australia will also look to replace Tanveer Sangha in their side. Zampa and Maxwell will be their spin bowling duo for the 3rd match as they were in their title-winning campaign of the ODI format. The visitors will look to bring in Kane Richardson in place of Sangha or they might also go back to Jason Beherendroff again, who was dropped from the second T20I match.
