Khan revealed that Amir had met him in the UK and that the player had conveyed his grievances against the team management to him. Wasim Khan said, "I made it clear to him that the path he had taken as a senior player was not right."
The Pakistan Cricket Board still considers Amir as an important player for the team. "I think Amir is still an important player for us and we will try to reconcile him and the coaches," the CEO said.
Wasim Khan, however, did not specify the time frame for Amir's return to the Pakistani team.
