MS Dhoni, Rohit and Kohli Make it to ESPN Cricinfo’s ODI and T20 Team of the Decade

Virat Kohli is the only Indian selected in all three formats, while Rohit Sharma has made it to the ODIs. Jasprit Bumrah, Kohli and Dhoni are in the T20 squad.

On Wednesday, ESPN Cricinfo named Indian former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as captain of  ODI and T20 team of the decade, while Virat Kohli was appointed as the captain of the Test team. The 23-member committee made the selection on the basis that the player has played at least 50 Tests or has been active for six years in the traditional format. The Player must have played 75 ODI matches and 100 T20 matches.

Off-spinner R Ashwin was also picked in the Test XI, who has been out since the arrival of wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Singh Chahal. England's Alastair Cook and New Zealand's Ken Williamson are also in the squad. Kohli has scored 7202 Test runs at an average of 54.97, while Ashwin has taken 362 wickets.

Kohli is the only Indian selected in all three formats, while Rohit Sharma has made it to the ODIs. Jasprit Bumrah, Kohli and Dhoni are in the T20 squad. The T20 squad consists of five West Indies players Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell. Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami are in the ODI and T20 teams in the women's teams. Australia's Meg Lanning has been elected captain of the women team.

Test Team of the Decade:

Virat Kohli (captain), Alastair Cook, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, Ben Stokes, AB de Villiers (wicketkeeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, James Anderson, Dale Steyn and Rangana Herath.

ODI Team of the Decade:

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain, wicketkeeper), AB de Villiers, Trent Boult, Hashim Amla, Ross Taylor, Mitchell Starc, Rohit Sharma, Lasith Malinga, Virat Kohli, Shakib Al Hasan, Imran Tahir.

T20 Team of the Decade:

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain, wicketkeeper), AB de Villiers, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle, Rashid Khan, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga, Virat Kohli, Andre Russell and Jaspreet Bumrah.

Women's Team of the Decade:

Meg Lanning (captain), Mithali Raj, Dane Van Nikark, Stephanie Taylor, Sarah Taylor (wicketkeeper), Anya Shrubsole, Suzy Bates, Ellis Parry, Jhulan Goswami, Deandra Dottin, Anisa Muhammad.
