Neeraj Breaks his own Record at Turkey

Olympic Gold Medallist Neeraj Choipra yet again served a reason for celebration to the countrymen. Neeraj made a stunning comeback in the International Competitions since the Olympics and broke his own record at Turkey.

The Javeling Star on Tuesday, pierced the sky with his darling(yes the Javelin) and pushed this throw to another new all time national record. Neeraj, in his second attempt only. made a throw of 89.30m, and broke his own national record by more than a metre.

Neeraj, who’d been away from the grounds for nearly 10 months, looked in full form and delivered his cent. The Olympic medallist.however, stood second at the Paavo Nurmi Games. Oliver Helander, who scored a personal best of 89.93m finished first in the tournament whereas World champion Anderson Peters of Grenada stood third with a throw of 86.60m.

In the tournament, Chopra’s first throw covered a distance of 86.92m, and made a record breaking throw in the next attempt. The star, however, failed to manage a legal throw in his next consecutive third, fourth and fifth throws. However, Neeraj with his performance reaffirmed the fact that he’s back with full energy and preparation and is all set to create wonders in the upcoming tournaments like World Championships scheduled in next month.
