Overall, the Aussies have won nine ICC Trophies and recently they were also crowned as the ICC World Test Championship Winners at Kennington Oval in London. They won the final of WTC 2023 when they defeated India.

Australia will also play a five-match series in the one-day international format against South Africa on their tour and three-match series in the same format against the men in blue side before the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 starts in India from 5th October 2023 to 19th November 2023.

Australia has announced a squad of 18 members for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 and this squad may be cut short to 15 players. They have left out Marnus Labuschagne from the ODI WC 2023 squad.

Pat Cummins will captain his side in the ICC mega event of the fifty overs format and the squad for this tournament is filled with seasoned and experienced players.

The selectors and the management of Cricket Australia have kept their faith in David Warner who is struggling to get runs. But David is an experienced player and he knows how to get runs in the Indian and sub-continent conditions.

He has been part of the Indian Premier League since the first season of 2008 and that has helped Warner to gather all that experience.

Steve Smith will also play a vital role in this tournament. Under the leadership of Steve Smith, the Aussies have won the three-match ODI series which was played after the BGT 2023 series.

Smith also helped Australia to win the 3rd Test match at Indore after they lost the first two red ball games of the Test series.

However, this ODI World Cup 2023 might be the last tournament for both these players, Warner and Smith.

Australia has Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Cameron Green and Mitchell Marsh to give extra firepower with the bat and ball as the potential all-rounders of their team.

While the pace bowling department will be handled by skipper Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood. These three pace bowlers will also play a key role in this tournament.

Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar will be the two spinners and Australia can also use the spin bowling services of Maxi if needed.
