SA Vs AUS: Australia’s dream of winning the Ashes Test Series in England hasn’t ended yet. The Aussies started the Ashes 2023 series with two back-to-back wins.

But they eventually went down in the last few matches. They were saved once by the rains as well and the last match of the series was won by the hosts England. In the end, this marquee red ball series was levelled to two all.

Now the Aussies will head to South Africa for a limited-overs series. Australia and South Africa will face off in the One Day International matches and T20 International games.

The T20I format series will be played first and it starts on 30th August 2023 and this tour will end with fifty overs series on 17th September 2023.

Mitchell Marsh Will Lead the Aussies in the Series of Shortest Format

Pat Cummins will lead the ODI side of Australia in South Africa, India and in the ODI World Cup 2023. Cummins is also the test skipper of the Australian side.

While the fast-bowling all-rounder, Mitchell Marsh will captain the Aussie team in the three matches of the shortest-format series in South Africa.

Marsh will replace Aaron Finch as the new skipper of the T20 International format for the three-match series against the Proteas only.

Under Aaron Finch, the Aussies won the T20 World Cup in 2021, which was played in the United Arab Emirates.

But Australia couldn’t defend their crown last year on their home soil and still no host country has won the T20 World Cup even once till now.

Mitchell is a senior player of Australia in the white ball format and now he should also have experience of leading the side at the international level.

The fast bowling all-rounder also played a match-winning knock of unbeaten 77 runs in the final of the 2021 T20 World Cup which the Aussies won when they defeated New Zealand in Dubai.
