Indian Batsman Shikhar Dhawan was out of the T20 series being played against India and West Indies. Shikhar Dhawan was dropped from the 15-man squad due to injury. Wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson replaced Shikhar Dhawan in the T20 squad. However, he did not find a place in the playing eleven against the West Indies. Now the news is that left-handed batsman Shikhar Dhawan may also be out of the ODI series against West Indies starting on 15 December. If so, then one of the openers can be included in the team. However, the selectors have four players who can replace Shikhar Dhawan. In such a situation, it would be interesting for the team management which player should be included in the team as a replacement for Dhawan.

In fact, Shikhar Dhawan suffered a left knee injury during the Syed Mushtal Ali Trophy. After this, he was dropped from the T20 series. Shikhar Dhawan was included in the squad for the T20 and ODI series by the selectors, but now it seems that he will not be able to play the ODI series as his injury has not been recovered and the first ODI is to be played on Sunday.

If Shikhar Dhawan is left out, the four players who can be included in the team in his place include Sanju Samson, Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw. Sanju Samson remains with the team continuously. In such a situation, his claim seems strong. At the same time, Mayank Agarwal is dominating as an opener at the domestic level after Test cricket. At the same time, Shubman Gill is also in excellent form. On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw is scoring runs for the Mumbai team after Ban, which makes his claim even stronger.
