Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer, who started his Test career with a century, is in great form these days. In all three formats, whenever he got a chance to take the field, he managed to leave his mark by batting with a bang.

First Indian to score fifty in both the innings

Once again he did so while playing the first day-night Test match of his career against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. In the first innings of the match, Shreyas played scorching innings of 92 runs in 98 balls and missed the second Test century of his career. But when he got a chance to bat again in the second innings of the same match, he once again scored a half-century.

In the second innings, Iyer went lbw off Lasith Embuldeniya, scoring 67 off 87 balls. During this, he hit 9 fours. With this, he has become the first Indian and the fifth batsman in the world to score fifty in both innings of the Day-Night Test.

Dwayne Bravo became the first player in the world to achieve this double feat in 2016. He scored 87 and 116 runs in both the innings of the Day-Night Test against Pakistan in Dubai. At the same time, Australia's legendary batsman Steve Smith played innings of 130 and 63 against Pakistan in the Day-Night Test in 2016.
