The 20-member Indian cricket team has reached Sri Lanka for the three-match T20 and the same number of ODIs. Team India will play all the matches in Colombo. The team's coach Rahul Dravid said, "That is the primary objective. We are going out there to win the series, hopefully, people get the opportunity to put in good performances in the course of us trying to win the series, and knock the doors of the selectors." The Indian team has to play a series of three ODIs and three T20 matches in Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav included in the white-ball squad and many more youngsters are eyeing a debut for India in the Sri Lanka series. India and Sri Lanka will lock horns in three ODIs and as many T20Is, beginning July 13.
Meanwhile, Team India has to play 3-matches ODI series on the Sri Lanka tour on July 13, 16, and 18 respectively. After that, a series of 3 T20 matches will take place on 21, 23 and 25 July. All matches will take place at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. At the same time, the ODI and T20 teams selected for this tour will be quite different as players such as skipper Virat Kohli and Vice-captain Rohit Sharma will not be part of the tour as they will be engaged in the five-match Test series in England.
