There is a lot of discussion about Dhoni's retirement these days. It is being said that Dhoni's future depends on IPL 2020, but now it has also been postponed by the BCCI till further orders. Amongst all these things, the biggest thing is that nothing is coming from Dhoni's side. Now the left-arm fast bowler Zaheer Khan, who has played with Dhoni, has put forward some opinions about Dhoni's captaincy. Zaheer Khan started his cricketing career under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly, but his performance under Dhoni's captaincy was at its peak and he became a star bowler. Zaheer Khan is considered one of the few successful fast bowlers in India and he believes that the two successful captains of India, Sourav Ganguly, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, had many things in common.

Speaking on YouTube channel, Zaheer Khan said that Sourav Ganguly had given the kind of support that any player needs in the beginning of his career. When you start your career at an international level, you need support in this way. Although it depends on any player how he advances his career, support is very important in the beginning.

When Team India won the ODI World Cup title in 2011 under Dhoni's leadership, Zaheer Khan was part of that team. Zaheer said that both Sourav and Dhoni captained the Indian cricket team for a long time and I have seen a lot of change in Dhoni. He was a very experienced player in the Indian team when he came in the team and due to this, he did not need to do much.
