Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad has described Virat Kohli as his favorite Indian cricketer. He said this on his YouTube channel. According to Miandad, "Kohli has performed well in every event. Statistics reveal its reality. I don't want to say too much. Miandad further said that Virat has also done well in South Africa. He scored a century, especially in a difficult situation for the batsmen. You cannot say that he is afraid of fast bowlers or that he cannot play on bouncy pitches. His shots are worth watching. It's nice to see him batting. He is a world-class cricketer." However, his form is not good for the last few months. His bat remained silent on the recent tour of New Zealand. He scored just 218 runs in 11 innings of all three formats (ODIs, Tests and T20s).

Kohli scored 125 runs in 4 innings in a T20 series against New Zealand and 75 runs in 3 ODIs. This is not the first time Kohli is struggling with poor form. Earlier, between February 2014 and October 2014, he could not score a century in 25 innings of all three formats. It also includes a tour of England in which he was able to score only 134 runs in 5 Tests.

Earlier, the Indian captain Virat's poor form was seen between February 2011 and September 2011, when Kohli did not score a single century in 24 consecutive innings. Kohli has scored 7240 runs in 86 Tests, 11867 runs in 248 ODIs and 2794 runs in 82 T20s. He has scored a total of 70 centuries in all three formats.
